February 19-26, 2022, Woodlake UMC, the Roof Digging Church, will send a mission team to serve with Porch de Salomon (http://porchdesalomon.org/) in Panajachel, Guatemala. Porch de Salomon is a unique and progressive, non-profit ministry which, since 2005, has loved, served, and encouraged “the lost, the least, and the last” of Guatemala’s Lake Atitlan region through indigenous home construction, medical/dental/vision/audiology clinics, and high-impact, year-round, humanitarian relief to indigenous people. Woodlake UMC team members who have served Guatemalans through Porch de Salomon have experienced a perfect balance of work, play, fellowship, and a sense of God’s presence and grace in every conversation, every relationship, and every act of kindness expressed by those serving and by those served. Join the Woodlake UMC Guatemala mission team as they travel to Guatemala to tackle the needs of impoverished people through construction projects to improve living conditions for families, as well as educational and nurturing activities with children and the elderly. The estimated cost is $1,650 per person; the suggested age is 15 or older, and minors must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult. The registration deadline is December 10, 2021.
